About Captain Jon Mahan:

Captain Jon Mahan fishes the Port O'Connor, Texas bays for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum, and he provides both live bait and artificial lures to suit all fishing styles. He welcomes all levels of angler aboard and supplies all the rods and reels you will need throughout your trip. All you need to bring is suitable clothing, any food or beverages you might like to consume, and a valid Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp. You’ll be casting from a 21’ Shallow Sport center console which, true to its name, can access some of the shallowest of waters to get to where the fish are. With the assistance of a wireless trolling motor, you’ll drift discreetly along the skinny waters, getting right on top of your targeted fish without spooking them. On the open waters, you’ll be powered by a 175 HP Suzuki motor, reaching speeds of up to 35 knots. Jon Mahan hunts the marshes around the Port O'Connor & Rockport, Texas area. He also has a private, freshwater duck hunting property near Bayside, Texas. All you need to bring is waders, shotgun, steel shot shells (#2-#4), camo clothing, and a valid Texas hunting license with a federal duck stamp.
